Spring cleaning checklist for a fresh, healthy home

Winter leaves homes stuffy, dusty and closed up. Spring cleaning is the yearly reset that clears it out and makes the whole house feel lighter. Here is a simple plan.

Start high, work down

Dust settles downward, so clean from the top: ceiling fans and light fixtures first, then shelves and furniture, then floors last. That way you never re-dirty what you just cleaned.

The spring deep targets

  • Wash windows, sills and tracks to let the light back in
  • Wipe baseboards, door frames and switch plates
  • Clean behind and under furniture and large appliances
  • Launder curtains, throws and washable rugs
  • Empty, wipe and reorganize closets and the pantry

Do not forget the air

Replace or wash filters, vacuum the vents, and open the windows while you work. Fresh air is half of what makes a spring clean feel so good.

If the full reset is more than a weekend can hold, we can take it on. Request a free estimate and start the season fresh.
